Mother Talks - 7 September 2010

Welcome to Mother Talks!
I'm Mother - aka Candy - and a little talk from time to time is always fun.  Daughter - aka Barb - may also feel the need to put her two cents in from time to time.  We live in the lovely Pacific Northwest where we have lots of great quilt shops, lots of great quilters and enough rainy days to do lots of sewing.  We find ourselves seduced by beautiful fabric and compelled to figure out how to quilt it all.

Currently we have a rather large stash of fall and Halloween fabrics calling to us from the studio closet.  There's just something about the warm and rich colors of autumn and the fanciful prints of Halloween that say "quilt us NOW."  I was thinking that I've just bought a few little additions to the Halloween stash the last couple of months, but once I stacked them up, I got this:

So much for a couple of new fabrics.  I'm not even sure there is such a thing as "just a few fabrics" in the quilting world.
